The blast furnaces of the Westfalenhütte once produced raw iron, which was converted to steel in the Phönix BOP in Dortmund Hörde. While furnace no. 4 (left) has been demolished, furnace no. 7, the hot rolling mill and parts of the BOF were dismantled and transported to China.
